Additional Charges

Please note the Government funding is intended to deliver 30 hours a week of free, high quality, flexible childcare. It is not intended to cover the costs of meals, other consumables, additional hours, or additional activities.

Meal Charges:

We promote a positive and welcoming eating environment and believe that children sitting together at the table for meals and snacks, and eating the same food, helps to develop good eating habits, self-care skills and table manners whilst also encouraging interaction, language and social skills.

We offer healthy nutritious meals throughout the day as a package that includes breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack/milk and tea/dinner (We don’t offer this as a flexible approach).

  • We charge a £5.50 meal package per funded day (Reviewed annually).

  • Any additional full days purchased, all meals and snacks are currently included in the private day rate (subject to an annual review).

  • As an alternative to paying for meals, you do have the option to provide all your own meals and snacks/milk for funded days, inline with our packed lunch policy, healthy eating policies and the DfE Early Years Foundation Stage nutrition guidance.

Consumable Charges:

We currently don't charge for consumables such as wipes for cleaning childrens hands and faces after meals (subject to an  annual review).

However, parents are expected to provide the following:

  • Nappies

  • Wipes for nappy changes

  • Sudocrem (if applicable)

  • Suntan lotion (child friendly)

  • Formula (if applicable)
